Free Meal

You probably heard about Denny’s giving away a free “Grand Slam” breakfast valued at $5.99 from 6am to 2pm today. (this does not include coffee).
I needed to be at an event in Sacramento by 7am this morning and for a moment thought about waking up a half hour early to redeem this offer. I decided that 5:30am was early enough and opted for more sleep over two pancakes, two eggs, and two servings of my breakfast meat of choice. It is now 11:30 PST and my stomach is not happy with my tired heads decision. However, I had a Denny’s breakfast about two weeks ago in Monterey and I don’t recall my stomach feeling to great about that choice either. As I sit waiting for lunch time, did you get a free breakfast this morning? And if so, how was it?
Ha ha, you don’t recall your stomach feeling great after that choice! That’s why we always call it Deadly’s! We have no Denny’s where I live, but I made pancakes for breakfast.
Well given we are 100 miles from the nearest Dennys it would have cost us nearly as much to drive there and back as it would for the “free breakfast” had we paid for it. =) So no we opted out of the free meal.
