Stayed up late finishing Rob Bell’s latest book, “Jesus Wants to Save Christians”. I’ve read all his  books, long-time fan of the Nooma Videos, and saw him speak at the Crest Theater in Sacramento a couple years ago. I really connect with his communication  & artistic style.

But that’s just a style, I appreciate his ability to communicate Old Testament History so well. I know  he’s not popular in some theological circles for various reasons. And I get some of it, but mostly I’m on board with what he’s got to say. There’s one part at the end of the second to last chapter that just floored me. I literally got chills. He’s talking about, how is today’s teenager with all of there privileges going to get interested in the Jesus that spoke to the suffering, and he says,

“tell them that there’s blood on the door post of the universe.”

Powerful.

I recommend the book. Anyone else out there read it? Agree? Disagree?
